This credit card offers a few rewards, though there is nothing special and no great incentive to spend more, such as rewards, point or cashback schemes that you get with other retailers. The first reward your get with this credit card is 15% off your first purchase as soon as you have opened the account. As a personal touch, when your birthday rolls around you also get $15 off of a purchase of your choice. Cardholders can expect to receive exclusive rewards throughout the year, including coupons and offers that come with the Eddie Bauer cardholder newsletter.

Eddie Bauer Credit Card Terms and Conditions

Normal APR on purchases is 24.99%, which will vary depending on the Prime Rate. Being a store card and not Visa or MasterCard, you get no balance transfers or cash advances. The minimum interest charge is $1. No annual fee. Late payment fee is up to $35 and returned payment fee up to $25.

Given the relatively high rate of interest and the absence of any point rewards program, it makes more sense to pay you balance off in full each month, enjoy what money-saving benefits you do get and build your credit score accordingly. On purchases you make, you have 25 days from the last bill payment due date to pay off the balance in full, and you will not be charged interest.

The Eddie Bauer credit card has an APR that is competitive with other store credit cards. However, the APR is a bit high when compared to general purpose credit cards such as those offered by Discover and Chase.

Dispute Resolution

The Eddie Bauer credit card is issued by Comenity Bank and Comenity has standard dispute resolution procedures in place if you have an issue with your card or a transaction. The procedure requires you notify them in writing to begin the resolution process. Within 30 days of receiving your notice they will contact you letting you know they have received it. If the issue has not yet been resolved when you get the first response, within 90 days of receiving your notice they will contact you again. They will either have corrected the issue, or provide an explanation why they believe the bill is correct. During this process they will not try to collect any disputed amount from you and they will not report any disputed amount to any credit reporting agencies.

The terms of service contains a standard arbitration agreement which may be rejected by the cardholder. To reject the standard Arbitration Agreement you must send a written notice rejecting arbitration within 30 days of receiving your account agreement or notice of your right to reject. If you reject the Arbitration Agreement, only a court may be used to resolve any dispute or claim.

In the rare event that the parties fail to resolve the dispute, if you have not provided a notice of arbitration rejection the parties agree via the terms and conditions to resolve the dispute via arbitration. Should this occur, the party asserting a claim must provide the other party with written notice and an opportunity to cure of not less than 30 days.
