The QVC or QCard credit card performs as a standard store credit card.

Based outside of Philadelphia in West Chester, PA, QVC is a very well-known retail company and the biggest TV and internet retailer in the world, offering products to over 200 million homes. The company was founded in the 80’s with the idea of using broadcasting to sell products and has since gone from strength to strength, amassing a legion of loyal followers. QVC is available in over 200 million households worldwide through its programing in the U.S., U.K. Germany, Japan, and Italy. In 2011 alone, QVC shipped more than 163 million products to eager customers in these markets. QVC also offers products with features exclusive to QVC customers.

QVC QCard Credit Card

The QCard Credit Card offers more flexibility and purchasing power than other payment methods you may use at QVC. To apply for the card, you must already be a member with them, with the application page accessible only through your online account. If you are not already a member with QVC, you must therefore open an online account.
This card doesn’t offer a point program, but it does offer a number of other advantages, including exclusive sale opportunities and promotions for cardholders, and sneak peeks for QVC’s daily special offers. There are also deferred payment options, periodic credit promotions and general online purchasing convenience to be had. You also get the benefits of no annual fee, fairly good rates of interest, and detailed online statements that make it easy to keep track of all your QVC purchases.

The normal APR on purchases for this card is 24.99%. The credit limit you get will depend on your creditworthiness. An upside is that no fee is applied for exceeding your credit as long as you bring it back within your credit limit within a reasonable time. You can only use this card on QVC purchases, and as with many store credit cards, no cash advances or balance transfers are available. Returned payment fee is $29. Late payment fees will depend on the size of your balance, and vary between $15 and $39.
For applicants with good credit, the cards normal APR of 24.99% is inline with most comparable store credit cards and a bit high for general purpose credit cards.

QVC Credit Card Online Account Management

Given that the online account is central to buying with QVC online and applying for a card, it makes sense to use the online credit management service. With it you can see your payment history, pay your bills by making transfers from your savings or checking account, and keep your account details up to date.

Dispute Resolution

The QVC QCard credit card is issued by GE Capital Retail Bank and GE Capital Retail Bank has standard dispute resolution procedures in place if you have an issue with your card or a transaction. The procedure requires you notify them in writing to begin the resolution process. Within 30 days of receiving your notice they will contact you letting you know they have received it. If the issue has not yet been resolved when you get the first response, within 90 days of receiving your notice they will contact you again. They will either have corrected the issue, or provide an explanation why they believe the bill is correct. During this process they will not try to collect any disputed amount from you and they will not report any disputed amount to any credit reporting agencies.

The terms of service contains a standard arbitration agreement which may be rejected by the cardholder. To reject the standard Arbitration Agreement you must send a written notice rejecting arbitration within 60 days of opening your account. If you reject the Arbitration Agreement, only a court may be used to resolve any dispute or claim.

In the rare event that the parties fail to resolve the dispute, and the cardholder has not rejected the Arbitration Agreement, the parties agree via the terms and conditions to resolve the dispute via arbitration. Should this occur, the party asserting a claim must provide the other party with written notice and an opportunity to cure of not less than 30 days.
