The Walmart Credit Card
Walmart offer two credit cards to its customers; the Walmart Credit Card and the Walmart Discover Card. The cards are very similar in terms of benefits, though the Discover card also lets you use the card anywhere where Discover is accepted, unlike the other which can only be used at Walmart stores.
For both cards you get:
- A 5 cent saving per gallon at US Walmart gas stations
- Cash advance incentives. Get fast cash (up to $100 in $20 increments for Discover, up to $60 in $20 increments for the normal credit card) when you spend using your card at Walmart stores.
- $0 fraud liability, protecting you against purchases not made by yourself
- No annual fee
For the Walmart Discover Credit Card, you also get an additional 1% cashback on all purchases made at locations that accept Discover. There is also a special introductory offer of $20 back when you spend $100 at Walmart. For electronics purchases of $429 or above, you can also apply for 18 months of special credit financing.
Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for purchases and quick cash advances is 22.90%, which may vary according to the Prime rate. For the Discover card, balance transfers are 22.90% and normal cash advances are 25.90%. Penalty fees up to $35. The grace period for zero percent applied to purchases is 23 days after the close of the last billing cycle.
